The school P&C is an important group within the school community to co-ordinate practical support for the needs of the school and to provide a formal framework for the school to engage in consultation with the parents and carer community.
The values of the school are continued and supported by the events and actions encouraged through the P&C. This relationship between the school and the P&C has realised opportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of the school plan and remain consulted and informed about changes and improvements planned for curriculum and school policy.
Focus on Communication
As part of our strategy to increase communication with the school community we have published the minutes of the P&C meeting and ensured that they are accessible for any interested party.
Canteen
The co-ordination of the canteen includes organizing the rosters, purchasing all items for the regular canteen and cooking/serving for the special events during the year. The voluntary contributions of our community in running the canteen are greatly appreciated.
Uniform Shop
There is no retail outlet in the community to source and supply store bought uniforms. The P&C Uniform Shop is a service co-ordinated and provided by the P&C with practical support from the SASS staff.
Events and Fundraising
The funds raised through fundraising initiatives has enabled the P&C to support the building of the schools uniform policy, purchase of book and medals for presentation day, contribute to the cost of Young Leaders Day, Hunter Life Education and Year 6 Interrelate.
