Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- inter school sports competition
- school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- NAIDOC week events
- Reconciliation week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school musicals
- community performances
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.
School Assemblies are held on even week Fridays at 2:30pm in the hall.

Milson Island Camp
Every second year Stage 3 students head to Milson Island for an outdoor adventure, beginning when students board the private ferry for a picturesque ride to the centre. Milson Island is an amazing location. Shrouded by the serene bliss of the Hawkesbury River, natural untouched bush and an array of top facilities, Milson Island is the perfect place for students to get off the grid. The island is perfect to build cohesion with a traditional and enriching camp experience.
Canberra Camp
Every second year Stage 3 students set off on a three-day, two-night camp to experience the wonder of Australia's Capital. They visit Old and New Parliament House, Questacon, Australian Institute of Sport, The War Memorial and many other exciting places of interest, staying in motel accommodation provided specifically for school excursions.
Bi-annual Whole School Musical
This is a wonderful opportunity for all students to shine and show off their performing arts skills in a purpose-written musical just for the Wangi Wangi Public School community.

Another opportunity for all students to show off their performing arts skills in a purpose-written Christmas musical just for the Wangi Wangi Public School community.
Point Wolstoncroft Camp
Stage 2 students bi-annually attend a two-day, one-night camp to Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre.
Nestled on the southern peninsular of Lake Macquarie, Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre is the perfect place to build cohesion with a traditional and enriching camp experience. This means getting outside, up high, down low and everywhere in between, all aimed to nurture your child's best self with unparalleled beauty and an amazing span of activities, programs and facilities.
Sport, Sport, Sport
Whether it's cross country, athletics, swimming or loads of other sports, Wangi Wangi Public School provides lots of opportunities throughout the year for students to learn and practice new skills, or have fun competing against their peers, or students from the wider community.
